This one has kind of a cool story (at least I think so). My in-laws have this guitar that kicks around the house that I just love that was "liberated" from a town hall Halloween decoration scene (and rightly so. I mean, yes, we could throw around ugly words like "theft" and...well, "theft," but it was getting rained on, for christsake. I mean, what were they supposed to do?). It's super comfortable to play. Anyway, I wrote the main riff for this song while I was playing it one day, and I sort of filed it away for later.

Fast forward a year(ish), I have all of the parts assembled, and we happen to be visiting the in-laws. I think to myself "hey, it would be really cool (to no one else but me) if I could record the song on that guitar." So I snuck off to the basement to get it done. I didn't have anything with me - not even a pick - so the main guitar was just recorded real quick on my phone. It sounds pretty good, considering.

It's a little rushed in places, but that's because I was expecting to be interrupted by a kid or three at any second (indeed, my first pass goes "click...strumDADDY!). Oh, and I put some electric bass on it, just to help it flow a bit.
